An Inspiring Bargain

One soon-to-be spring day, I was out on a little shopping excursion when I met and fell in love with my new purse. The orangey-red color spoke my name in the promise of warmer days on the horizon. I only paid $3.00 for this sweet thing. You heard me right, three dollars, 75% off rack plus a spend $10.00 get $10.00 off coupon equals awesome buy!

I was sitting that afternoon in my kitchen admiring my purse from across the room as it was perched  on the dryer. A thought occurred to me, "Wouldn't that color look fantastic in my pantry?" Well, when I get a thought in my head, it is not easily erased. So, approximately ten minutes later the little man (referring to my three year old son here, not hubby) and I were heading south to Lowe's.

We scoured the many paint chips, and  finally we found it. Apparently, the color is not orangey-red, but rather Fairmont Suite Clay Red, who knew. Realizing, it would probably be a little bold to paint the whole room in this mostly white (or as hubby calls it "egg shell", but that's another story) home. I opted to buy a small can and just paint behind the pantry shelves.

I then realized that my pint size artist had done a fabulous still life that will look lovely in the space. I am happy with the results, what do you think?

  1. The color is great .... energy for laundry is always a good thing. And, how organized it all is. This blog is perfect for you!

I had to be anonymous since I don't know what any of the other options mean. Very untech, I know.
