Week Five: Sunday

"Then their father Israel said to them, 'If it must be, then do this: Put some of the best products of the land in your bags and take them down to the man as a gift—a little balm and a little honey, some spices and myrrh, some pistachio nuts and almonds.'"
Genesis 43:11

It’s Sunday and you are taking the day off, a much deserved day off, I might add. As we have just remade our kitchen last week, perhaps it’s a good idea to ponder what food we are bringing into our home and feeding our bodies. God has provided us with so many wonderful foods made by Him. Unfortunately, man has altered and processed so many of these foods that they are not making us stronger but weaker and sick. Foods made by God like organically grown produce and range-free meats are the best for our bodies, our temples. I have seen the health benefits of getting man-made foods out of our diets and eating an only God-made diet. This might sound drab, but actually food made by God is not only far superior for our health but it tastes so much better too! And you can still eat brownies!

I have a friend, Mary, who is an expert in the subject of eating foods made by God. She has taught many classes on the subject and is now blogging about her expertise at www.foodsbygod.blogspot.com I urge you to head over to her website and read her story and check out all of the awesome recipes she has to share! She has also outlined weekly challenges to help you transition from a man-made diet to a God-made diet. It is so worth the effort!

On a side note, did you by any chance have a hard time finding something to wear for church today even though you have a closet full of clothes? Good news, this week we should resolve this problem as we tackle our closets. But for now, enjoy your day off!
